Blender - 2007/04/17 16:08 How is the Blender interface progressing. Can we use it to build a working virtual world yet? There are 10 kinds of people in the world. Those who can count in binary, and those who can't.

Re:Blender - 2007/04/17 16:19 What do you mean by interface?

You can use Blender's Game Dev Kit to create your own virtual world.

Re:Blender - 2007/04/20 17:09 You're right, you can. I was thinking that Blender could be used to create the avatars and you would need another package to actually create the environment. There are 10 kinds of people in the world. Those who can count in binary, and those who can't.

Re:Blender - 2007/05/07 17:12 I've heard that you have developed a "monk" avatar in Blender. Is it publicly available? And what is a decent tutorial on using Blender? There are 10 kinds of people in the world. Those who can count in binary, and those who can't.

Re:Blender - 2007/05/09 03:55 I did the monk thing awhile ago and I used some mesh downloaded from the web as a starting point (I don't remember what kind of licenses) but it wouldn't be good (at least without some work) for an avatar since it had a high poly count.

Blender tutorials can be found at:
http://www.blender.org/tutorials-help/tutorials/

and www.blendernation.com has also a lot of links.
