Click here to see the profile of this user 		DirectShow SDK - 2007/12/06 17:08 Hi, I am new to DirectShow and I have some questions of how to begin write an application using it. Do I have to download and install another SDK for DirectShow? Or importing the DirectShowLib.dll is enough?
If I have to download a separate SDK, which SDK do I need to download and install? Is it the DirectX SDK or Microsoft Platform SDK or any other SDK?
I would greatly appreciate any help.

If you just want to run the apps, I suppose the directshowlib.dll wrapper is enough. But as soon as you'll want to modify or write your own apps, you'll be better off downloading the SDK (if only for the doc).

DirectShow is now part of the platform SDK but I believe you can just download the "DirectX Extras Feb 05" (a 30 megs vs 300 megs download).
