That's not a philosophical question. But I'd like to mention MS XNA Game Studio Express (GSE). I've been spending some times with it recently. While I'm not a game player, I'm interested in graphics and since MS will not upgrade MDX anymore, I was looking at its replacement. And this brings up my initial question. ATM, the XNA Framework has very little support for Windows (Forms) programming. But do we need it? In the framework, you derive a class from the Game class and override its Initialize, Update and Draw method (short and sweet). I have the funny feeling that GSE might do for digital entertainment what VB (the application) did for Windows (the platform). Anyway, you can try it, it's free. |

I have written a Dowitchers filter to play with the RGB component of a video stream. I've included all the files and a short tutorial to explain the code in the following zip. I'll add more info and tutorials in the coming weeks.
