Now that I have settle in my "new home", I thought I could point out a few sites that I found recently. While I don't look forward going back to assembly programming, there were quite a bit of useful information that I found on this site about software optimization: http://www.agner.org/optimize/ AMD has introduced some "Performance" libraries (similar to Intel but it seems with fewer strings attached). It can found here: http://developer.amd.com/apl.jsp Also, from AMD, CodeAnalyst (similar to Intel V-tune) is a simple download (Intel's offer is a trial download). http://developer.amd.com/cawin.jsp MS provides support for streaming multimedia when you're using Windows Media tools but if you're looking at streaming something else the following site has an interesting solution (license LGPL). http://www.live555.com/liveMedia/ Bookmark it...             |
